Eleanor Thomson

Since retiring I have been much too busy to go to work. Playing the bagpipes with York Regional Police Pipes and Drums and piping at funerals, retirements, weddings and birthday parties occupies just some of my time. In between piping engagements I produce newsletters for four different organizations. I have done some tutoring of the neighbour's kids just to help them catch up to their classmates. I am very lucky to have a small chunk of property outside of Newmarket which I call "my estate" and I have a very large stretch of grass which I cut with my ride'em tractor. In winter the trusty tractor rearranges the snow so I can drive out to town for groceries. My large German Shepherd/Husky runs loose on the "estate" when I am out, but demands a lot of attention when I am home. Retirement is great - no rocking chair for this grandmother!
