Sharon Kular

I have been a teacher with the Etobicoke Board of Education for 43 years. In those years I taught Science, Physical Education and was a Guidance Counsellor. When I retired I had been Curriculum Leader of Guidance, Co-op, Special Education, LEAP, ESL and Career Studies. Previous to this I was the Head of Guidance for a total of 30 years.

During these years I loved working with all of the young people that I came in contact with.

Over the years besides coaching school teams, acting as the Staff Advisor to the Girls Athletic Council, and PD Chairman for the city of Etobicoke I have always served on the Commencement committees for West Humber, Scarlett Heights and Martingrove Collegiates. Because of this last role I believe that I was invited to be on the Awards and Constitution Committee of the RTO

In my retirement I have continued to enjoy skiing, swimming, gardening in the city and up at the cottage on Carthew Bay near Orillia and working part-time for the Parent Education Network, an organization that is committed to helping parents and caregivers develop the tools needed to meet the challenges of parenting.
