Maryanne Chard

I was born in Toronto in 1942 and have lived in Etobicoke for most of my life. I began my career as an elementary teacher, in September, 1963 and retired in June, 2003. During this time I was an active member of O.E.C.T.A. I served as school staff rep and assistant rep for several years. I was on our T.E.C.T. sub unit executive for Etobicoke/York for four years. I also served on the Communications Committee for our TECT, Unit for four years, was a Young Authors Adjudicator for three years, and served on the Grievance Committee for 1 year. I was a delegate to the O.E/C.T.A AGM for 6 years. Since retiring, I have done some volunteer telephoning for RTO District 22 and am now happy to join our District 22 Executive.

I enjoy playing Bridge and many other card games. Visiting casinos is also fun. I enjoy music and play some classical guitar. I am also active in St. Joan of Arc Church as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister.
